Lalit Narayan Mishra was Indian National Congress party’s Leader who served as Minister of Railways in Government of India from 1973 to 1975. He was also made parliamentary secretary at his instance to the first Prime Minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru.
Lalit Narayan Mishra was born in sapaul district of Bihar in Maithil Brahmin family.
He got Master’s in economics from Patna University 1948.
In 1975, Lalit Narayan Mishra died in a bomb blast at Samastipur railway station. Court case was delayed for 39 years approximately and was finally completed in December 2014.

In the recent event, L.N. Mishra’s grand son filed an application in Delhi high Court to hearing argument and facts.
Vaibhav Mishra demands from the Court,

“1.To allow the Applicant to advance oral/written
arguments in support of question of law and fact
before this Hon’ble Court or/and if required then
to allow the Applicant to advance oral/written
arguments in support of question of law and fact
before this Hon’ble Court after the learned
Public Prosecutor/Respondent’s Counsel;

2.To assist the process of justice in accordance
with law;

3. To direct the Respondent to handover certified
copy of the entire case file(s) of the present case
to the Applicant; and

4. Pass such other order or orders as this Hon’ble
Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and
circumstances of the present case.”

V. Mishra also alleged that tha application was opposed by the CBI. But after all application allowed after some arguments.

On 8 December 2014, four men accused of Mishra’s assination were found guilty by a Delhi court. A fifth accused in the case had died.
